Why Save the Moles??
Partnership Deal Despite our long history and important role in the local community, MFC has had a number of financial difficulties in recent years. The Club is now under new management and with the help of Supporters Direct we are reconstituting ourselves to protect our future. But we are carrying a heavy burden of debt and we must find a plan that will save our great local club and give it a sustainable future so we may remain a key part of the Molesey community. Our partnership with local house builder, Rushmon Homes, is now our best (and indeed only) hope to save the club. Our creditors are closing in and threatening court action which would bankrupt the Club and force the whole ground to be sold at auction. Rushmon has entered into a partnership deal with the Club whereby they will pay us the uplift value of the land with planning permission. This will generate sufficient money to wipe out the Club’s debts once and for all; make some significant improvements to the ground, like new floodlights; and ensure a sustainable future for this important community asset. For further information about Rushmon Homes please visit www.rushmonhomes.co.uk It’s our community and this Club has been here for very many years, we hope you will want to help secure and shape our future for many more years yet to come. It would be a tragedy if our Club had to close and the ground lost to the community forever. We hope you agree and will want to get involved.
